If you can answer yes any or all of the questions, Across the Floor is the place for you and your child.
(1) Is proper training important to you at a young age? Our 1st
Position Program is a dance and gymnastics program for children ages
3-6. At Across the Floor, we believe that the first classroom
experience is an important one since it is the foundation for all
learning. In this age group, attention span is critical to the
learning process. In order for these young students to be taught
anything, they must first be taught how to pay attention. Across the
Floor is the only studio in the area that does not offer combo classes.
Our mission is for students to achieve higher learning and quicker
advancement. We don’t believe in “combo classes” like ballet-tumble or
ballet-tap. As consumers, parents think they are getting a “2 for 1”
deal or some sort of bargain when they sign their child up for a combo
class.
(2) Does your current dance studio seem to focus all of its attention on
the competitive dancers? Here at ATF we try to strike a balance
between offering a competitive program as well as offering a strong
recreational program. We are proud that here at ATF our recreational
and competitive dancers dance together allowing for growth and
flexibility in both programs. We created a dance company as an outlet
for those dancers that desire it.
(3) Do you want your children to be taught by amazing instructors?
With instructors that have treaded the stages with Michael Jackson,
Missy Elliott, Gwen Stefani, Alicia Keys, Ricky Martin, Whitney Houston
and the Knicks City Dancers, this team of solid dance instructors
brings the best of performing arts to the towns of Woodbridge and New
Providence, NJ. Students learn and accelerate in an exciting program
based on focusing on one discipline of dance at a time. Across the
Floor prides itself on our curriculum for 3-6 year olds entitled the “1st Position Program”. And alsobwelcomes cheerleaders to their award-winning tumbling program.
Owners Cheryl and Sara are professionally trained and look forward to
another successful year with the best of NJ dancers.
(4) Is Across the Floor reputable? Our accomplishments include being recognized and commended by Governor
Jon Corzine in a State Proclamation for continued contributions to the
community and for our efforts to enhance personal growth and
development through dance and gymnastics. Across the Floor has also
been featured in “Spotlight on New Jersey - Spotlighting the Best
Businesses and Professionals in the Area.”
(5) Does Across the Floor have a "Mission Statement"? At Across the Floor, it is not just about creating an
excellent dancer, it is about creating a well rounded and well trained
individual - ready for whatever and wherever life may take you. We
strive to provide students of all ages a positive and enjoyable
environment that allows each student to excel at their own pace through
dance and gymnastics. We love what we do and we want to share our
passion with everyone. Over the years we have trained thousands of
dancers, many who have gone on to pursue degrees in dance, choosing to
make dance their career and many who just enjoyed their time growing
up dancing.
(6) Is Customer Service important to you as a parent? At Across the Floor, we know that as a parent you have many things going on at once. We like to make it easy to keep you informed about what is happening at Across the Floor. We have administrative desk staff available to you during class times, so if you have a question, we are here to answer it for you.
