6-Week Summer Session

Building Confidence, Creativity, and Independence Through Dance

Program Philosophy
The Mini Movers Parent & Me program is designed to introduce toddlers to the joy of movement while developing important social, emotional, and cognitive skills that will benefit them both inside and outside of the dance studio.

Each class encourages children to build confidence, independence, listening skills, self-regulation, coordination, and social interaction through music and creative movement. While parents participate throughout the program, the ultimate goal is to help children become comfortable in the dance studio environment so that they are prepared to transition into an independent dance class with confidence.

Children will also begin learning how to function in a structured classroom setting by:
-
Following one- and two-step directions
-
Waiting patiently for their turn
-
Sharing space with others
-
Transitioning between activities
-
Listening to teacher cues
-
Working cooperatively with peers
-
Building confidence away from their parent while knowing their parent is nearby for support

These foundational skills directly support kindergarten and preschool readiness while fostering independence and self-confidence.

At the end of the six-week session, dancers will participate in a Summer Showcase Performance, giving families an opportunity to celebrate everything their little dancers have learned.
